Biden Won’t Get the Nomination And Nobody Else in the Democrat Field is Going to Win the White House.

Thomas Lifson, in an article entitled “Joe Biden is too stupid to win the nomination [1]“:

The purported frontrunner of the Democrats’ presidential field is certain to self-dest ruct before the Democratic National Convention votes on a nominee more than a year from now, because he loves to talk and is too stupid to avoid making fatal mistakes. Exactly a month ago, I predicted he would not get the party’s nod, and I stand by that. But secretly, I hope I am wrong, because he would fall apart when faced with Donald Trump.

Aside: Better be careful using words like “stupid”, Thomas. People might think you weren’t a “serious” commentator. That kind of thing sounds like something I would have said.

(/Snark)

The ‘inside baseball” snark which most of you won’t understand, aside, he’s quite correct…

The man is a walking gaffe machine. And that’s just for openers. It should be pointed out of course that being stupid has never been a limitation in the Democrat Party before. in fact, I’ve always considered it to be something of a requirement.

I’ve said this elsewhere but I don’t think I’ve said it here before, so here we go… the real tragedy is not the perception that Joe Biden is the Democrats best candidate. The real tragedy is that the perception is the correct one.

The “Why are we afraid of China” comments Thomas mentions, in light of his son’s involvement with China [2] on a very large financial venture (along with “Lurch” Kerry, and in light of Dianne Feinstein’s involvement with China [3], should of themselves automatically disqualify any presidential candidate. But after all this is the Democrat Party we’re talking about.

Then there’s the matter of Biden’s plagiarism [4]. And it’s not like this is the first time this has happened.. You know in all honesty, I don’t believe this guy’s had an original thought in his head in the last 50 years.

As Matt Margolis [5] suggests, Barack Hussein Obama is without question the worst president in American history. Let’s also be honest enough to suggest that the job of the veep is to make the president look good. Mr. Biden was extraordinarily overqualified for that role.

As Lifson points out, assuming the Joe Biden wins the nomination …which at this point is a huge question mark… Donald Trump will rip him to shreds from the moment the gavel falls on the Dem convention… If, for no other reason than Biden represents returning to the unmitigated disaster that was the Obama Administration.

Somehow I don’t think that’s going to play well even with a lot of Democrats. Besides it’s a little difficult to so the Democrat agenda, and it’s candidates, as the party of young ideas, when your leading candidate is 76 years old, and would be as close as no matter to 80 by the time his theoretical term is over.

Biden faces challenges from within the party, as well of course…with every one of those challenges riding on the left side of that particular clown car… And after years of trying to out “woke” everybody else, not a single one of them will make it past the general. The reason as I have repeatedly suggested over the years is that the rank and file of both parties are far more conservative than the leadership of either party and certainly more so than anything that either party has coughed up since Reagan.

So nobody among the jackass party with their hat in the ring currently is going to make it past the general… It’s just not going to happen. Not without some sort of cooked up scandal, which is precisely why the Jerry Nadler’s of the world are making so much noise.

Or, at least they were. Looks from here like they’re starting to back off of the constant drumbeat of impeachment. They recognize it’s not going to happen and in any event as I suggested earlier it’s not playing well [6] among the electorate.

I take it as a sign of thee desperation among the Democrats the Joe Biden appears to be their best hope for attaining the White House in 2020.

Lifson is probably right. Biden will not win the nomination.
