“It is time to do something about, by the way, after the tragedy in what we saw happen in Aurora, Illinois yesterday. It is time to put sensible gun legislation in place…” Klobuchar said. “I actually sat across from the president at that meeting, because I have a bill, a bipartisan bill, involving domestic violence … I counted nine times he said he was for universal background checks.”

On Friday afternoon, a man in Aurora, Illinois opened fire at Henry Pratt Company after being informed during a meeting that his job had been terminated. The suspect killed five of his co-workers and later injured five police officers.

[…]

He was last arrested by the department “in 2008 for violating an order of protection.” However, he was most recently arrested “in 2017 by the Oswego, Illinois Police Department for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.”

The suspect obtained a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card in January 2014. Two months later, he purchased a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun.

“During the finger-printing and background process” for a conceal and carry permit, “it was discovered that [the suspect] had a felony conviction for aggravated assault out of Mississippi,” Ziman stated.

To libtards like Klobby the Klown, the solution is always even more goverment.  Yet the problem with Aurora shootings was not lack of sensible gun control laws.  The problem was lack of competent government.
