The deserter Bergdahl is not feeling the love, from NBC News:

But Republicans roundly criticized Obama and President Donald Trump went further while campaigning for president, repeatedly saying Bergdahl deserved to be executed by firing squad or thrown from a plane without a parachute.

I agree with the President, from Legal Information Institute:

10 U.S. Code § 899 – Art. 99. Misbehavior before the enemy

[…]

shall be punished by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct.

Bergdahl plead guilty to the crime of Misbehavior Before the Enemy and death is a fitting punishment.
