Out of The Frying Pan Into the Fire

The nightmare that is Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency is almost over. There’s a large number of people editorializing this week that they are severely disappointed in Obama’s presidency.

Jeff Jacoby [1], for example…

Barack Obama’s presidency ends in 172 hours. Its toxic effects will last a lot longer. I never voted for the 44th president, but when he was elected in 2008, I wrote, in all sincerity: “Obama’s rise makes me proud of my country.” What a grievous disappointment he turned out to be.

Personally, I find such comments amusing in the extreme. The reason is simple enough…. I never expected anything but the evil that we got out of the man.

I do have to say that it annoys me to no end that America’s first black president was so obviously elected on the basis of the color of his skin not the content of his character, particularly when there were at least half a dozen black candidates who are better qualified for the position and would have served us much better.
And my friends that’s something to ponder on this week.
But I suppose we must also discuss what happens after this Friday.
I found this post on the group that will remain nameless. Doesn’t matter anyway since I’ve seen these sentiments before. I think the argument is fatally flawed but here it is…

i have to say that I have finally figured out the Trump victory. The man is not afraid to speak his mind as any man should. All of these whiny little bitches that are boycotting and crying so loudly are the reasons the Dems and Hildabeast lost.

I responded:

I have never been a trump supporter either. But frankly I think the poster has this wrong.
Donald Trump did not win because he’s Donald Trump …because he’s willing to speak his mind and so on. Hillary Clinton lost because she’s Hillary Clinton. And of course all the criminality that such implies.

I come to you with a radical suggestion that Bernie Sanders probably would have won the election if the Democrats had decided to let him run. That’s because there’s enough people out there who think we ought to have automobiles that run on unicorn farts , free everything for everybody and all the rest of the leftist Socialists fairy tales. Hillary Clinton lost because there was sufficient number of those people that could not bring themselves to vote for Hillary Clinton.

But here’s the thing. Hillary Clinton isn’t going to be running in 4 years.
