Is there nobody telling this guy how far offbase he is?

Apparently not…

Look, I knew the guy was senile when he endorsed Obama in the first place.

  1. Waitaminnit, here's an off-key question: how did you code that link like that?

  2. Unsure what you mean…. on the blog, it's just a standard href.

  3. I know, but I'm looking at hyperlinked text (your words "Apparently not…") here on Facebook, which is a different thing.  None of us are coding anything around here that I know of, and I don't think I've seen that yet.  I wonder how it's done.

  4. Looks like it used one of those URL shorteners.

  5. I'm not making myself clear.  This –http://tinyurl.com/2b98dzh…is what at TinyURL link looks like. Now, at the top of the Facebook page that includes the text box into which I am now typing this comment, there is a *hyperlink*, Eric: not a URL (not even a shortened one), but a couple of words of text (they read, "Apparently not…") which are a genuine *hyperlink*: they do not show me their target URL, they are plain English, and they point to a URL different from the one that I am typing in right now.Someone, somehow, *coded* that link in those words, just the way us grown-ups have been coding links in HTML since about '94.I want to know how that happened.  I don't usually see that at Facebook, and I am getting rather quite bloody sick & tired of just throwing URL's into text around here in this fucked-ass-up little social sandbox which has some degree of use but which can barely perform to certain standards of user-friendliness common during The Lying Bastard's first administration nearly a generation ago.~~~~~In short: how the fucking fuck does one do what I see done for the very first time here in this post of yours?

  6. dunno, cause I didn't do it manually. Didn't even know it was as such. The story was originally posted at the blog and reposted here by a wp plugin. Maybe that's what did it. I'll have a closer look

  7. I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
