There even feed up with public employee unions in New Jersey, from the Star-Ledger, Peoples Republic of New Jersey:
So it’s time to go nuclear. It’s time to rewrite the rules. It’s time for the showdown with [public employee] unions that has been brewing for years.
Private sector unions were created to meet a valid need and have done much good to improve the wrlfare of the working class. Further, private sector unions have to work with management to keep their company viable. The perils of excessive labor costs are borne by both the shareholders and the employees. Private sector unions have to be reasonable.
Not so public sector unions. Government has no need to be competitive. No worry about market share. Public sector unions have out lived there usefulness and it time for them to go.
