Just some notes for the other authors…
I’ve upgraded to WP292, apparently without incident. Updated several plugins including a new SEO and the random quotes plugin.
I’ve added some speed ups to compress the raw HTML and the CSS, as well as what Java scripting I’ve been doing. The HTML itself is now tight enough that you can’t fit water in there, and the page loads are very very fast indeed, now, though I wonder what is being presented to the search engines. I’ll have to keep a watch on that.
Backups are going according to plan (Thanks Art!!) and I now have a few safety sets on tape here too.
Database is now optimizing itself nicely, every hour. That will help keep the backup volumes down and the front end response time where it should be.
