Harry Abraham, RIP, Was WHAM All Night Jazz Show Host

Being WHAM/1180 is a local station, I normally wouldn’t post this, but with WHAM’s 50kw signal, and the huge coverage it had back before the FCC decided 750 miles was enough for one station, (Half the bleedin’ country…. literally) I’ll mention it.

Harry Abraham, the gent who ran the all-night Jazz show, called “The Best of all Possible Worlds”  on WHAM from 1969 to 1978,  died on May 7th. in Philly, where he ended up after WHAM, at age 64. He’d been battling Cancer for some time, apparently.

Think Fagan’s “NightFly”, here, with a lot less sadness.  Here’s a taste [2]. (Mp3)
