Rasmussen: 67% Say They Could Do A Better Job On The Economy Than Congress

Rasmussen : [1]

When it comes to the nation’s economic issues, 67% of U.S. voters have more confidence in their own judgment than they do in the average member of Congress.

Nineteen percent (19%) trust members of Congress more, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Fourteen percent (14%) aren’t sure.

Republicans and unaffiliated voters by double digits have more confidence in themselves than Democrats do, but even a majority of the party that controls Congress trust themselves more than the average legislator.

By the numbers I’ve been seeing over the last few days, there doesn’t seem a whole lot of argument atht some sort of stimulus is needed. The argument is over where the money gets spent. Clearly, Americans are saying they know better than government where the money ought to be going; that they can spend the money more effectively to get things moving again than government can.

I dunno about you, but it’s suggests to me that the American people, instead of calling for massive spending on what Government wants to spend it on, are saying that cutting taxes is the best policy.
