WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama called on Americans Thursday to follow Abraham Lincoln’s example of showing generosity to political opponents and valuing national unity – above all else.
AFAIK, Abraham Lincoln never attempted to resolve and argument by saying “I won [2]“, nor did Lincoln ever vote “present [3].” In short and in the words of Lloyd Bentsen [4], “Mr President, I know Abraham Lincoln, and you sir are no Lincoln.”:
