WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama called on Americans Thursday to follow Abraham Lincoln’s example of showing generosity to political opponents and valuing national unity – above all else.
AFAIK, Abraham Lincoln never attempted to resolve and argument by saying “I won“, nor did Lincoln ever vote “present.” In short and in the words of Lloyd Bentsen, “Mr President, I know Abraham Lincoln, and you sir are no Lincoln.”:
