I can’t say that I’m sorry at all to see a new Quinnipiac University poll, that reports Chris Dodd is in even more serious electoral trouble than we thought before:

A total of 42 percent of voters say they “definitely” or “probably” will vote to reelect Sen. Dodd in 2010, while 51 percent say the “probably won’t” or “definitely won’t” vote for him.

US Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) at ServiceNation NYC 2008By a 54 – 24 percent margin, Connecticut voters say they are not satisfied with Sen. Dodd’s explanation of allegations that he received preferential mortgage treatment and 56 percent of voters say they are less likely to vote for him because of this controversy.

His being linked to the current economic woes can’t help him much, either, nor his cheerleading of Geither, yesterday. Of course, there’s always the short memory syndrome.

Addendum: (Bit) Yes, I noticed David’s comments after I posted this. (Shrug)
