One of the compelling anecdotes about Sarah Palin is that she auctioned off the Alaska governor’s jet on eBay after taking office — a swift move made by a reformer hoping to clean up the excesses of her predecessor.

But in fact, the jet did not sell on eBay. It was sold to a businessman from Valdez named Larry Reynolds, who paid $2.1 million for the jet, shy of the original $2.7 million purchase price, according to contemporaneous news reports, including a story in the New York Times.

News Flash to the Washington Post, and the various Kossacks, Coles, Drums, etc of the world:

: Hey, Jackasses: Were you actually listening to what was said?

While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the governor’s office that I didn’t believe our citizens should have to pay for.

That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay.

Emph is mine, She didn’t say she’d SOLD it on EBay, she said she PUT it on EBay. See, the sad fact is that not everything on Ebay, SELLS on Ebay.

I mean, I’ve seen some manufactured attacks, but this one really smells. Perhaps you’re trying to draw attention away from her actually doing the work of the people? Can you point to a Democrat in recent times doing anything of the sort… giving up taxpayer funded luxury and not acting like they’ve earned that luxury?

  1. I read Cole’s idiocy right after I say this from hyper-partisan and huffpo contributor Dave Johnson:
    http://www.seeingtheforest.com.....obamas.htm
Two things struck me about Johnson’s screed.  One was the amount of projection going on.  Says Dave,

“Almost every single thing Palin said in her speech the other night turns out to be just a lie… And she has a story[…] Here is what the Republicans understand: facts don’t matter, stories do.”

Of course, the site he links to as proof of the lies is… MediaMatters.  The Soros funded site doesn’t have a story to tell now does it, and is certainly far above spreading their own lies if it furthers their story.

The other thing that stunned me what just how tone-deaf the far left is.  Dave rightly comes to the conclusion asking:

    “What is the Obama story?”

Well that is precisely what the non-Obamaphile has been asking all along.  Dave ignores that is the Obama campaign of hope and change, and change, and change that create the question, and not the evil GOP.

    Can’t argue that.

Thing that interests me; is this kinda nonsense really supposed to raise the credibility of the Democrats in the eyes of the American voter?

  3. Credibility?  A good 30% of this country is so consumed by Bush hatred, that they dont care!  Look at Cole, who unlike Sully or Sockpuppet, had real center, center-right bonifides.  He has constructed the prism – the building specs of which consist of Bush is evil friends of Bush are delusional, supporters of Bush are really bad, and those that dont object to Bush as strenuously as I are detestable – through which he wants to view the world.

It is not about policy, or working forward, it is about petulant rage and retribution.  Their sensibilities were sooo upset that they have virtual birthright for front row seats at the stoning and evisceration of everything Bush.

Sadly, several of these like minded folk are among my own family.

  4. I’ll just preach a bit more…

The left seems incapable of understanding that, Yes, we have heard their arguments and considered their merits.  The left is utterly incapable of understanding that subsequent to that rational analysis, we reject their argument, and their conclusion.

I think this, contrary to the Cole condition, addles the minds of the long time hard left, and the seed of all the projection we see therein.  It is they that are so absolutist of thought that they can not conceive of anyone rejecting their brilliance, or opposing the proper path to glory.  Those that do not fully understand the glory of leftist thought must be manipulated along the proper course; those who reject must be evil.

That the person Palin defeated had misused the DHS funding process?
    OK, I’ll buy that.
