Work Makes Free

The Obama campaign has begyn notifying people who got tickets for the big acceptance speech at Invesco Field the final night of the convention.
Many of those who received tickets told 7NEWS they have come with a caveat.
Those viewers said the campaign told them they must volunteer six hours for the campaign by Friday in order to get a ticket.

So while Obama is on vacation, he has decided that if his followers want to adore their fuhrer at the his giant rally, they must work to earn the free ticket. And they must complete this free work before Obama ends his vacation. I guess requiring 6 hours of work in the next 72 hours is one way to ensure a properly receptive crowd , you know, a crowd made up of stereotypical democrats who don’t have to work for a living so they have the spare time to slave away for Obama.

Joe LIeberman riled the leftosphere, when he suggested that BO has “not always put country first [2].”   Memerandum [3] had all kinds angery response.  LIeberman did not provide a specific examples, and I note the same argument can be made about John McCain with respect to Amensty and McCain-Feingold.

It does seems hard to say just how much BO prefers courting foreign favor than promoting American interests.  However BO does seem to be much more interested in courting the favor of the world citizens than protecting the interests the American taxpayer.   BO seems to favor aid to all foreigners and tax increases for all Americans.

Michelle [4]has posted an interesting quote:

“Obama didn’t require Germans in Berlin to work for him in order to cheer him at the Tiergarten. Why does Obama treat Germans better than Americans?”

BO does seem to have two standards, one for foreigners and another for the American tax payer.
