So now, we see Barack Obama trying to make something out of the number of houses McCain does or does not own, and because he didn’t know the exact answer…(Seven, by the way, including investment property) this is supposed to suggest he’s out of touch.

Obama Later Purchased A Portion Of Rezko’s Land For $104,500; It Was Valued At $40,500. “Later, the Obamas bought a 10-foot-by-150-foot piece of the lot for $104,500. Rezko Was Convicted Of Wire And Mail Fraud, Money Laundering, And Aiding And Abetting Bribery. “A federal jury today convicted developer Antoin ‘Tony’ Rezko of corruption charges for trading on his clout as a top adviser and fundraiser to Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Rezko’s guilty verdict on 16 of 24 corruption counts could have broad repercussions for Blagojevich, who made Rezko a central player in his kitchen cabinet. It could also prove a political liability for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, who once counted Rezko as a friend and fundraiser, as the likely Democratic presidential nominee heads into the general election campaign against Republican John McCain. … The jury convicted Rezko of wire and mail fraud, money laundering and aiding and abetting bribery. SO, here’s [3] what this comes down to, Gang:
“Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people ‘cling’ to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who’s in touch with regular Americans?”
Once again, we see Obama bringing a knife to a gunfight. However we see quite a bit more than this, even:
1: We see Obama is exactly what we have been saying about him all along… we see Obama reinforcing the image he has spent the majority of this primary fighting.. that he is anti-capitalist, anti-private property, in short, socialist.
2: We see that he and his staff are extraordinarily inexperienced to the point of being amateurish. The US is going to be in for a world of hurt, with this guy and the people that hang around him in the White House, if this is an example of their best work.
3:We see also a note of desperation appearing in Obama’s discourse. We must assume that Obama and his staff are somewhat more talented than this lamebrain set of comments seems to suggest. That being the case, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that Obama knows now that he is in serious doo-doo.
He’s just not sure WHY, yet.
