Bit rambled :
Obama . Reparations. ‘Nuff said.
Not quite enough. Speaking at the UNITY ’08 conventionb, BO said, Laurie Au, Star-Bulletin , Honolulu:
“There’s no doubt that when it comes to our treatment of Native Americans as well as other persons of color in this country, we’ve got some very sad and difficult things to account for,”
“I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it’s Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds.”
You want deeds BO, James Taranto, Best of the Web , offers deeds:
[T]the Civil War, the ratification of the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments, Brown v. Board of Education, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the continuing practice of racial preferences.
BO is playing it cute. While endorsing the concept of repartions, BO avoids explicitly suggesting them.
Want repartions BO, I’ll give you this. As the United State is home to the longest lived, and most prosperous blacks in the World, here is my offer. For repartions, a one way passage to Liberia, and permanent revokation of United States citizenship. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Shut or simply leave.
