GOP to Shut-down the Senate?

Senate Republicans have finally noticed that gasoline prices are up over four dollars a gallon, and American motorists are feed-up with the high prices.  Manu Raju, Hill, reports Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell is threatening to shut-down the Senate. unless Dirty Harry Reid allows floor votes on expanded domestic drilling :

“We think there is nothing more important that we can do right now than to deal with the Number One issue of the country,”

Moe Lane, Red State. says:

[N]o downside. So shut it down, baby.

    Indeed. The question is, why did the Bush family block drilling for almost 20 years while their good friends the Saudi’s raked in the cash, and why did McCain remain silent about it all that time?
