LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Rev. Jerry Falwell, the television evangelist who founded the Moral Majority and used it to mold the religious right into a political force, died Tuesday shortly after being found unconscious in his office at Liberty University. He was 73.
Without even bothering to look, I’m sure we’re about to see a lot of totally vile comments coming from the usual suspects. His stewardship was not without it’s problems, as even I have noted here several times. Frankly, however, I consider anyone who can so unravel and un-nerve the left, to be a complete success.
Addendum: (David L) Allahpundit, Hot Air, has done the leg work and has summary of the left’s reaction. It is not pretty.

I’d have been faster than that if I’d not been on the road.
