“If I were running Al Qaeda in Iraq,” Mr. Howard said, “I would put a circle around March 2008 and be praying as many times as possible for a victory not only for Obama but also for the Democrats.”

So sayeth John Howard, Prime Minister of Austrailia.   Video here.

To which Barack Obama, playboy from Chicago and supposed democrat canidate for president said:

“If he’s ginned up to fight the good fight in Iraq, I would suggest that he calls up another 20,000 Australians and send them to Iraq,” Mr. Obama said. “Otherwise, it’s just a bunch of empty rhetoric.”

To which the liberal blogosphere say – not much.

Obama response shows couple of thing.  One, Obama is mathmatically challenged.  The population of the United States is circa three hundred million, Australian twenty million. The level of troop commitments is about proportional.

Two, Obama is still wet behind the ears and not ready for prime time.

As to the left stream blogosphere’s lack of response,  the lefties have utterlly no problem with left  wing wack jobs who go to foreign nations to criticize our president.   Howard might have figured what was good enough for  Bill Nelson was good enough for him.

  1. Ya know, the more i hear abot John Howard, the more I tend to like the man.  Mind you, we tend not to hear much of him up here given the leanings of our own press, which are apparently opposite of Mr. Howard. But Howard seems to me in positioning, a man very much like Stephen Harper… a wildly popular man with rightist tendencies… and popular for that reason…. who is forced to deal with a fair number of socialists… and thereby knows their activities as what they are when he sees them.

  2. John Howard is the Prime Minister of Australia and leader of the Liberal Party
(equivalent to the US Republicans).  He’s been PM for 10 years, however we have another election this year, which is truly terrifying as Australians are not known for our intelligence and often vote the Labor Party (evil evil) back in once the Liberals have fixed the economy, so that Labor can stuff it all up again.  Why it concerns you, my lovely Americans, is that once Labor are back in, they are 100% guaranteed to pull Australia out of Iraq.  This is because even though they purport to care about Iraqis, the truth is that they don’t.  THey’re scared that being involved in this war will bring unwanted attention from terrorists, and whatnot, and they also delight in being aggresively against all American foreign (and domestic) policy.  Pathetic people in every sense of the word.  Self-righteous hypocrites who think they’re morally superior when in fact, they are very much inferior.
Now, most Labor party voters are not that smart (they’re traditionally the bricklayers, unionists, trench diggers and public servants of Australia), and many of them have an inexplicable hate for Americans.  Stupid + Hate = DANGER!  Pray for us!!
John Howard is a Christian man who has done what he and most sane people see as the “right thing” since he was elected PM.  A child could see that pulling out of Iraq now would result in utter chaos and devestation for Iraq, and the World.  This is a WAR damnit, if the socialists would just shut up for 3 seconds we could win it!  INstead they help our enemies with their constant criticism against their own countries and leaders, and they should be tried for treason.
Think on this – the same kind of people protesting against the war in Iraq are the same kind of people who protested against the US and Australia getting involved in the war against Nazi Germany.  Morally bankrupt bastards!
