I’ve been watching this pants-wetting going on with usual suspects, with the Talon News guy, and it’s started to concern me. So in the interest of openess, and fairness….. call it a pre-emptive strike…. I’m going to make some admissions to you all. This isn’t going to be pretty, but better to do this now than have it thrown in my face as a weapon by those who don’t like my politics and are attempting to destroy me.
I am a straight, married white guy, who is hoplessly in love with his wife. That said I have not been immune to making note of other women in my travels. I recognize that both of these pursuits are thought to be archaic in nature and unacceptable by the supporters of John Kerry. Yet, I hope and pray that these will simply accept my diversity.
Speaking of praying, I am a Christian, who has been known to invoke that faith while making decisions that involve me and mine, and I’ve even been known to make mention of it in public, and even to base some of my judgements on public policy on that faith. That said, I’ve been known to cuss like a 30 year sailor on PCP on occasion. I recognize that both of these pursuits are thought to be archaic in nature and unacceptable by the supporters of John Kerry. (The latter particularly so since I’m not a rap artist) Yet, the issue of their acceptance of my diversity comes up again.
I am firmly of the thinking that there’s a major difference between “Equal Opportunity” and “Equal Outcome”
I support the war in Iraq, and any such fight for freedom. I’m with John F. Kennedy who told us we should pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty. It amazes me that the Democrats hold JFK to be Iconic when they’ve turned their back on his call in the matter of freedom.
There’s far more to my personality of course, but the reader will doubtless get the idea I’m not at all a desireable person in leftist circles. I do this because I don’t want you to be shocked and amazed when some yahoo…. err sorry… enlightened citizen (cough, wheeze) on Democrat Underground or on Kos’s comment section decides I’m a ripe target for outing. I can simply point to this post and say “It’s been done already, Bunky..”
Aren’t I a nice guy? I’ve saved some liberal somewhere a small mountain of work.
