the issue you bring up here is quite true. However, you’re missing a relationship I think needs to be pointed out. Webb, for all his self-rightious splutter, only seems concerned about where the press supposedly ignores stories that make the political right look bad…. and it’s usually the seriously crackpot crap, The Alcoa Hat Company listings, like the CIA and drugs in LA in support of the Contras, for example.

An example of this; You correctly point out that the press ignored Foster, pretty much, whereas given a chance to go after Al D’amato, they practically busted a vein getting into the story.

I mean, doesn’t the concept of WHY the press is ignoring what they’re ignoring enter the picture at some point? If so, looking at WHAT they ignore and WHAT they pursue should give anyone with a pulse, a clue.
