They Still Don’t Understand

As I’ve said earlier today, the Democrats still don’t understand what hit them. Dale Franks at Q&O makes this point rather well, if sarcasticly. Here’s a part of it:

“You see, it has to be said. The real problem is not that the Democratic Party’s offerings are unpalatable to a majority of the citizens. The real problem is that majority of citizens, with their sloping foreheads and heavy brow ridges, don’t grasp the scintillating brilliance of progressivism. No, instead, they sit around their caves, banging two rocks together in a futile attempt to make fire, while muttering, “Grog not see how giving Grog’s money to government helps Grog. Grog not understand why Grog must do things to make France happy.”

Of course, too the left is blaming religion for this loss;

“Now, that we’re clear on that, Ms. Smiley proceeds to examine why Americans are so stupid and violent. Of course, the problem is religion. It is the opiate of the people, and serves as the running dog of the capitalist-imperialist forces, by preventing them from examining the truth of the dialectic, thereby preventing them from joining the vanguard of the revolutionary struggle of the proletariat.”

“First, they put the fear of God into youif you don’t believe in the literal word of the Bible, you will burn in hell. Of course, the literal word of the Bible is tremendously contradictory, and so you must abdicate all critical thinking, and accept a simple but logical system of belief that is dangerous to question. A corollary to this point is that they make sure you understand that Satan resides in the toils and snares of complex thought and so it is best not try it.

“Oh, OK, she doesn’t put exactly in the way I paraphrased it, but really, what’s the difference? It all boils down to the idea that religion is the refuge of the weak and stupid.”

Of course you should go and read the rest of it. [1]
