Jen at The Greatest Jeneration makes note that a number of Sunni clerics are calling for their flocks to ignore the upcoming election, claiming they would be ‘disenfranchised’. Muses Jen:

Boycotting the Jan. 30 election and thereby not getting their own representatives elected to the new Iraqi assembly will only hurt the minority Sunnis more.”
True, Jen, but it also sounds like a few libertarians I’ve heard from on the subject of elections, too. Sadly, they don’t see the similarlity, either.
