CBS News is trying to defend itself…. and I’m not buying.
“This report was not based solely on recovered documents, but rather on a preponderance of evidence, including documents that were provided by unimpeachable sources, interviews with former Texas National Guard officials and individuals who worked closely back in the early 1970s with Colonel Jerry Killian and were well acquainted with his procedures, his character and his thinking,”
Really? Well, then let’s see the list of sources. Also, this response seems to suggest CBS to be more worried about the validity of the attacks on the president, less than they are about the fact that the documents they tried to pass off as fact… the ones that filled in the key parts of the charges against Mr. Bush… were in fact, outright fraud. Just what you’d expect from an org that considers attacking the right of bigger import than truthfulness in reporting.
You’ll pardon me, please, if I’m not buying what CBS is selling.
