Low Voter Turnout Expected Statewide in California

The Fresno Bee [1] has a report up on it’s site today suggesting that the support for John Kerry is not exactly getting out the voters…

“Secretary of State Kevin Shelley is predicting a 43% turnout, which would be lower than in the last presidential primary.
Turnout was 48% in 1988, 47% in 1992, 42% in 1996 and 54% in 2000.”

So much for the myth of popular support for Kerry; Even among Democrats he can’t get the turnout.
