Celebrated Narcissist Says He Made All The Right Choices With high unemployment, low GDP, a stagnant economy, low consumer confidence, rising food and fuel prices, real wages going down, and even more people without health insurance, I’d hate to think if Obama had made what he considers to be bad choices. From William Teach, Pirate’s […]

Paul Krugman growls, from New York Times: Back in 1980, just as America was making its political turn to the right, Milton Friedman lent his voice to the change with the famous TV series “Free to Choose.” In episode after episode, the genial economist identified laissez-faire economics with personal choice and empowerment, an upbeat vision […]

Putting the Hurt on Obama, Charles Hurt on Barack Obama, from Washington Times: And then there were Mr. Obama’s worldly-wise assurances that peace would reign and everybody would love us if only we had a sophisticated, multilingual president who had lived abroad, on other continents, with roots in the Muslim world. Instead, he has shepherded […]

DADT is dead, long live DADT,from David Woods, Politics Daily: For the next few months and possibly for as long as a year, gays and lesbians in uniform will still be subject to investigation and discharge if they acknowledge their sexual orientation, Pentagon officials said. Despite action in Congress to repeal it, the controversial policy […]

Dumbo is Delusional.  Alas too many cocaine parties and not enough sober study.  Proof that the Obama administration is demented.  Barack Obama had called Fox News destructive, but his administration has lauded the clowns Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow of MSNBC.  You go figure.   Nice Deb has all the story. More  Delusional,  Dean Esmay l: […]

Professor Thomas Sowell – 1, Dumbo – 0, Obamcare meets Basic Economics, loses, Patteico’s Pontifications: So what do you think might happen if you sought to make health insurance more widely available for children — by simply mandating that companies with child-only policies make those policies available to children with pre-existing conditions? So were the […]

The ears are already falling off of Dumbo Care. The Dim Won wants to fix anthropogenic global warming and the evils of capitalism.  Before we give Barack Obama more carte blanch power, we ought to demand that the Obami demonstrate some competency.  Having already wrecked the economy and wrecking health care, they need keep their […]

While you slept Sunday,  Mrs. Pelosi, and two hundred eighteen of her co-conspirators screwed you and the entire country. Obama writes new Contract with America, William Kristol, Weekly Standard: This year Obama has handed Republicans a one-item Contract with America, an item a majority of the public supports–opposition to, and therefore repeal of, Obamacare BO […]

healthcare-reformWe are going to try and keep it simple on this one.

The bill stinks.

Put aside the fact that it expands Medicare.

Put aside the fact that it establishes coverage mandates (you will be forced to buy health insurance somehow).

Put aside the fact that it is a colossal power grab for an industry that has been well managed by the states for a long time.

Put aside the fact that it will increase taxes.

Put aside the fact that it will dramatically increase the cost of insurance for everyone (and they sold this to us originally as being needed to stop the soaring cost of insurance!).

Put aside the fact that it will wreak havoc on the tax code, balloon the size of the IRS and increase the size of corporate tax management teams (which will increase consumer costs in all industries).

Put aside the fact that this bill is overloaded with earmarks… in a bill that was intended to bring equality in health care.

Put aside all of those issues and focus on the one true deception that will be broadcast throughout the weekend and coming weeks: that the Congressional Budget Office has determined that the bill will have a reducing impact the deficit.

The lie here is that although the Federal deficit will […]

I actually like the headline James Joyner puts up at a bit better: House Trades Freedom for Health Coverage, Senate’s Move The House passed a trillion dollar bill that will force Americans to buy health insurance, force even small businesses to provide health coverage, and require insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions.  (The last, as […]

Even Howard Dean called this “reform” plan crazy! “Reform” is in quotes because calling this reform is a lie. This is not reform it’s a complete socialist take over health care with rationing of care for the old and undesirable. If there was tort reform (anathema to the greedy trial lawyers like John Edwards, who coincidentally […]

The first rather obvious question that pops into my head upon reading this particular missive from Eric Kleefeld, is about there being any doubtwhatever that Alan Grayson is Florida’s answer to Cynthia McKinney. Look, I’m sorry, but in my view,Grayson has turned himself into an embarrassment that is among the few on the planet that […]

It has been said by more than one cynic, that no good deed goes unpunished.    In that spirit of punishment, Barack Obama intends to punish those most responsible for hie election victory. Shailagh Murray, Washington Post, admits the ugly truth about Obamacare. As health-care legislation advances through Congress, the young adults who were so vital […]
