Here’s a point I’ve been making for some time, now…. as expressed by Terry A. Hurlbut at the site Conservative News and Views: Everyone remembers the anti-propaganda campaign that followed: “Bush Lied; People Died!”, “General Betray-Us,” et cetera ad nauseam. A few voices, most notably that of Sean Hannity, insisted that Saddam Hussein did have WMD, […]

When Dianne Feinstein’s  ( D – California )fellow Californian got Alzheimer’s disease, he made one last public statement, and retired from public life  from Bob Owens: San Francisco’s senior senator has apparently taken a sad psychiatric turn. Always questionably progressive, she’s now also apparently starting to suffer the effects of some sort of degenerative mental […]

I was asked once why businessmen in general are usually soul anti-government.   I quickly responded by saying that it’s because they’re the ones that deal with the results of government.  All of it negative. Just recently former presidential candidate George McGovern died.  I noted with interest David posted a note on that topic.  He quite […]

What we have additionally in the case of Obama, this time, is a case of liberals outright lying to us to cover their own backsides. Not only is Obama foreign policy a failure, in much the same way and for the same reasons that Jimmy Carter’s foreign policy was a failure, but now Mr. Obama and his people have been caught flat out lying to the American people in a feeble attempt to cover the failure of their worldview and their foreign policy.

I suggest that if the foreign policy failures themselves were not enough to remove Obama from office as they were in the case of Jimmy Carter, Lying about it certainly should be.

Dumbo’s birth certificate, Dumbo, b/k/a Barack Obama as reported by George Stephanopoulos, ABC New, via ZIP, Weasel Zippers: “I think that over the last two and a half years there’s been an effort to go at me in a way that is politically expedient in the short-term for Republicans.  But [it] creates, I think a […]

Some interesting thoughts on Sarah Palin’s new book…. which I happen to have started reading myself just the other day. I’ll leave Melissa’s thoughts on the book itself to her article. But she, in the process of laying the groundwork for her review,  points up something that I’ve noticed myself on the state of things […]

Over at OTB, James Joyner looks at the current wave of reports surrounding Tom Delay: Tom DeLay, the poster boy for everything that was wrong with the last Republican majority in the House, has been found guilty of money laundering. NYT (“Ex-House Leader DeLay Found Guilty in Texas Case“): Tom DeLay, one of the most […]

Doug Mataconis over at OTB, is commenting on the Anti-Palin backlash going on, and seems to me quite willing to be part of that backlash. I’ve already made note since the elections of reports of growing concern about Palin inside the GOP, as well as comments by the likes of Karl Rove that Palin is […]

HEY BILLY: You’ve nailed this one. I am going to die laughing at one of the most spectacular dumbells of my time on this planet. Andrew Sullivan, you are just darling, you adorable little fireball, you. You’re “radicalized”! Is that what it is, Andy, when you finally come to the bankruptcy of your under-writing those […]

Dumbo’s green energy delusions, Robert J. Samuelson, Washington Post: [Baracl] Obama has made vilification of oil and the oil industry a rhetorical mainstay. This is intellectually shallow, if politically understandable. “Clean energy” won’t displace oil or achieve huge reductions in greenhouse gas emissions — for example, the 83 percent cut by 2050 from 2005 levels […]

I note Mark Steyn, this morning: Hillary Clinton, America’s secretary of state, was in Canada last week. She criticized Ottawa for not inviting aboriginal groups to a meeting on the Arctic, and for not including the facilitation of abortion in the Canadian government’s “maternal health” initiative to developing countries. These might seem curious priorities for […]

From radio buddy Scott Fybush,  on Northeast Radio Watch, on Monday: *The final collapse of New York-based Air America Radio made big industry headlines at week’s end, but the bankruptcy liquidation of the pioneering progressive talk network won’t affect many timeslots on any NERW-land radio stations. There were no full-time Air America affiliates in the […]

While I sit in the doctor’s office waiting for my appointmnet, I see Greg Sargent says today: As you may have heard, a Dem staffer helping the Martha Coakley campaign was caught on video shoving a Weekly Standard reporter, prompting an explosion of outrage from national Republicans and the right-wing media, who alleged bullying and […]

Ok Keith Olbermann is an arrogant ass, but even an ass can have his day.   Olbermann goes off against Harry Reid health care mandate, albeit for the wrong reasons: Olbermann is right that the a health care mandate is illegal.  He no intention of buying government mandated insurance.  Bravo. Hat tip: Ed Morrissey, Hot Air.
