In a mind boggling move which defies common sense and all logic, New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has ordered the state Department of Motor Vehicles to issue driver licenses to illegal aliens.
Nina Bernstien, New York Times, has the sordid detail:
New York State, home to more than 500,000 illegal immigrants, will issue driver’s licenses without regard to immigration status under a policy change announced yesterday by Gov. Eliot Spitzer.
Evidently Spitzer forgot that illegal aliens are not New York State citizens and are not entitled to state services.
