Sarah Hoyt yesterday;

The same government that scrutinizes all our actions on a daily basis and presumes we’re guilty until proven innocent, when questioned by the people about the obvious flaws and issues of the elections refused any examination and told us that everything was fine, or if not, we had no standing. We should just trust their word over our lying eyes.
Next thing you know, they’ll tell us to eat cake.

And

When Democratic Party leaders find excuses for left-wing violent protesters and condemn right-wing protesters, one can understand their motives. They see left-wing protesters as being “on their side” and the right-wing protesters as “the enemy.”

When Republican Party leaders find excuses for left-wing violent protesters and condemn right-wing protesters, it’s hard not to draw the conclusion that they, too, see the left-wing as “on their side” and the right-wing as “the enemy.”

Indeed. As an example, when I see Mike Pence denouncing the protests, I know that he’s gone full GOP establishment which is to say establishment, period. Here is a man who looks at the situation, seize The Establishment re-establishing itself in spite of the will of the people and wants to be in good with them.

I’ve been saying for a long time that the establishment of both parties have been making the divine right of kings argument… Both the reaction to the protests yesterday, and the cause of those protests, are your proof.

The fact of the matter is, like Reagan before him Donald Trump is not a member of the club, is not of the aristocratic line… And therefore, in the eyes of set establishment, must be controlled at all cost, or denounced and eliminated.

And here’s the thing, that attitude we saw yesterday from the establishment of both parties guarantees that we’re going to see more of what we saw yesterday. It’s my guess the what we saw yesterday was just a taste of the anger of the American people.
