Bye-Bye Camelot

One of my better breaks is that I survived Camelot. For younger readers, Camelot, much like the original King Arthur version, I fabricated myth of what never was. The modern Camelot is the fictionalize retelling of the administration, January 20, 1961 – November 22, 1963 of the 35th President, John F. Kennedy.
A brief review of the reign of Number 35 is in order. Kennedy blessed the nation with the, Bay of Pigs, Berlin Wall, Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War. For this the press extended the Camelot aura to the entire Kennedy Clan.

Alas the Camelot aura may have died. It has at least dimmed, from Legal Insurrection [1]:

Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy III became the first person in his famous political to lose a race in Massachusetts.

Incumbent Democratic Sen. Ed Markey defeated Kennedy in the Senate primary on Tuesday night.

Maybe young Joe will challenge Lizzy Warren.  I can see his campaign slogan now: Replace the fake Indian with a real Kennedy.
