Did George Floyd Commit Suicide

Call this a Skokie post.

Did the late George Floyd commit suicide? More to the point can the State of Minnesota prove beyond at reasonable doubt that Floyd did at the hands of former police officer Derek Chauvin et al?  From Law Officer [1]:

And as we have pointed out before, there remains not one shred of evidence that race was a factor in this incident and the body camera footage makes that crystal clear. This incident certainly appears to revolve around a suspect high on fentanyl and methamphetamine along with a pre-existing heart condition that committed a crime and resisted officers until his death.

The evidence should show that Floyd was high on fentanyl and methamphetamine, had a pre-existing heart condition and resisted arrest until he passed.  Any competent defense attorney should be able to convince the jury that absent these factors Floyd would not have died.

All these was known, or should have been, before Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison filed charges.  So if justice was not, in not, Ellison’s motives, what is?  Was Ellison trying both fuel and spark a race riot?  Or was he just trying to railroad four non-black police officers.

Parting question, should the federal DOJ open a civil rights investigation into Ellison for the violation of Chauvin et al civil rights?
