Passing Thoughts

Some things that occurred to me today…

# There’s no shortage of people out there who are annoyed at the number of spam phone calls they’ve been getting despite being on a “no call” list, who still insist that gun control works.

# The extremism that we’re seeing out of Democrats these last couple years, as with all extremism, is originating in desperation. They know very well what they’ve lost and are losing in terms of influence and power, so they lean more completely on their defining principles, which are best expressed in the “Green New Deal”, with a side of overt anti-semitism. It makes one mind full of a number of drunks in a car realizing they’re heading for a cliff and deciding that the way out of the problem is to hit the gas.

#Cory Booker calling for the resignation of Fairfax seems to be questionable, given his own sexual harassment problems.

#Speaking of Fairfax, I notice that he’s hired Brett Kavanaugh’s lawyers. If the mainstream press has noticed the irony, they’ve certainly not said anything about it. And whatever happened to all accusers need to be believed?

# I see Lyndon Larouche finally became a good communist. [1] To be honest, I didn’t even know he was still wasting air. funny thing though, he always ran as a Democrat despite being a avowed communist… And the Democrats never tried to separate themselves from him. Hmm.

# I see North East Motor Freight is in the process of going belly-up. Actually, the smell of death has been about the place for a couple of years now. The bottom line, welcome to the world of union work rules, union pay structures, and government over-regulation. So long, North East, been nice knowing you.

The result of this of course is a tightening of capacity for a less than truck load movements in the Northeast, and a sudden glut on the used market of single screw tractors.

# I’ll get in the more of this later, but after two years and 25 million dollars the Senate comes up with the idea that takes can’t find any indication of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign. The mainstream media of course, yawns. I am firmly convinced that the people behind this hoax should be prosecuted, and then since the whole thing was set up to cover their own crimes, prosecuted for those as well.
