The partial shutdown theater had another public performance, this time at the White House, from Washington Times:

President Donald Trump invited congressional leaders from each chamber to a White House briefing on border security Wednesday as the partial government shutdown wore on over funding for a border wall, with Trump tweeting: “Let’s make a deal?”

The invite comes after House Democrats released their plan to re-open the government without approving money for a border wall – unveiling two bills to fund shuttered government agencies and put hundreds of thousands of federal workers back on the job. They planned to pass them as soon as the new Congress convened Thursday.

Both President Donny and Speaker Tablecloth are playing to their respective bases. Mrs. Pelosi’s base is federal government union employees. Donny’s base is the American public.

One Response to “Partial Shutdown Theater”

  1. How long can Mexico continue to detain the mob of invaders without the wall?

How long will the mob continue to remain in Tijuana just across the Border from the 9th Circus and CaliCare + WELFARE?

Repubs, if there be any, should fund some buses to haul the undocumented Democraps to Nancy’s walled estate where they can get comfortable.  After all if breaking into a Country isn’t Criminal, why should lounging at Nancy’s place be against any Law in a Sanctuary State.

There is already a sufficiency of undocumented Democraps to occupy Nancy’s place, and she really isn’t using it.
