The Democrats are still demanding government be open the before they talk about funding the wall. They sound like Wimpy from the Popeye cartoons. “I’ll gladly pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today.”
You know, since the Democrats have pulled this nonsense repeatedly over the years, maybe the better picture to paint is this one:

Jim Daws, over at the American Thinker suggests that the President has the Democrats cornered on this one. I think he’s right. Even the traditional wacko left such as Cher Bono are saying the Democrats have overplayed their hand.
Why on Earth should the President give up the leverage that he’s got in this situation?
