Sutherland Springs, Texas: The Hero And the Fool

Following up on Eric [1].  What do heroes and fools have in common. When dire circumstances occur, both the hero and the fool rush.   First the hero, via Last Tradition [2]:

NY Post reports a concerned neighbor who heard the Texas church massacre unfolding on Sunday went and grabbed his rifle and tried to stop it — opening fire on the shooter and chasing him down in a stranger’s truck, a report says.
The man, who has not been publicly named, is being hailed online as a “hero” after state officials described his actions during a press conference.

The hero rushes to where he can help. In contrast, the fool, also via Last Tradition [3]:

The Hill reports Democrats are renewing their calls for gun reform after reports of a mass shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, on Sunday.

Multiple people are dead after gunfire erupted at the church, which is not far outside San Antonio, according to reports.

Sens. Bob Casey Jr. (Pa.), Dick Durbin (Ill.) and Kamala Harris (Calif.) were among the Democrats who urged Congress to act in response to the latest deadly shooting.

The hero rushed to the crime scene. Little Dicky Durbin [4] rushed to the microphone.
