In news just slightly more shocking than water is wet, the National Association for the Advancement of [Liberal] Colored People(NAA[L]CP) has weighed in the Colin Kaepernick controversy, from from MSN Sports [1]:
WASHINGTON — The NAACP on Wednesday called for a meeting with the NFL to discuss the fate of quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who refused to stand for the national anthem to protest police brutality against African-Americans.

The NAACP intended to join that rally, and Derrick Johnson, the organization’s interim president and CEO, said in the letter to the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, that it’s apparently “no sheer coincidence” that Kaepernick isn’t on a roster today.
“No player should be victimized and discriminated against because of his exercise of free speech — to do so is in violation of his rights under the Constitution and the NFL’s own regulations,” Johnson said.
News flash for theNAA[L]CP, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell does not hire players. Individual teams do. Teams want back-up quarterbacks, to stand on the sideline, hold the clipboard, not to tear apart the locker room and neither to motivates would fans not to watch the game nor buy tickets. The NFL is a business, and Kaespernick is motivated by politial agenda and not by any desire to help the league succeed. Maybe ESPN will hire Kaespernick to replace Robert Lee?
