Judge Lawrence Moniz Makes Texting a Crime

In the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts  killing a person while driving too drunk to find a bridge is apparently legal, but sending a text message is a felony, so saith Judge Lawrence Moniz from Daily Wire [1]:

[Michelle Carter]instructs [Conrad] Roy to get back in the truck knowing of all the feelings he has exchanged with her; his ambiguities, his fears, his concerns. This court finds that by instructing Mr. Roy to get back in the truck constitutes wanton and reckless conduct by Ms. Carter, creating a situation where there is a high degree of likelihood that substantial harm would result to Mr. Roy.

Ms Carter was not in a position of authority over the late Conrad Roy. She had no authority to instruct Roy in anything, and Roy had utterly no duty to obey Carter’s so-called instructions. Maybe Roy got back in the truck because he rather be dead than have a ghoul such as Carter for a girl friend.

If you don’t like suicide, then don’t commit it. Given the democrat ghouls like Mrs. Pelosi, and Jim Devine [2], I’d think they would be nervous about criminalizing ghoulish behavior.
