In the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts  killing a person while driving too drunk to find a bridge is apparently legal, but sending a text message is a felony, so saith Judge Lawrence Moniz from Daily Wire:

[Michelle Carter]instructs [Conrad] Roy to get back in the truck knowing of all the feelings he has exchanged with her; his ambiguities, his fears, his concerns. This court finds that by instructing Mr. Roy to get back in the truck constitutes wanton and reckless conduct by Ms. Carter, creating a situation where there is a high degree of likelihood that substantial harm would result to Mr. Roy.

Ms Carter was not in a position of authority over the late Conrad Roy. She had no authority to instruct Roy in anything, and Roy had utterly no duty to obey Carter’s so-called instructions. Maybe Roy got back in the truck because he rather be dead than have a ghoul such as Carter for a girl friend.

If you don’t like suicide, then don’t commit it. Given the democrat ghouls like Mrs. Pelosi, and Jim Devine, I’d think they would be nervous about criminalizing ghoulish behavior.
