Donald Sterling, Doc Rivers, the NAA[L]CP And Magic Johnson

Assume for the sake of discussion, and I do not, that the following is in fact true, from TMZ [1]:

L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling told his GF he does NOT want her bringing black people to his games … including Magic Johnson … and it’s ALL on tape.

TMZ Sports has obtained audio of Sterling making the racist declaration during a heated argument on April 9th with V. Stiviano … after she posted a photo on Instagram posing with Magic.

Sterling’s alleged gaffe appears to violate no law. We all have the right of free association, and nobody has a right to a free ticket to a basketball game.

Now allegations that Sterling is a racist are certainly not not, from Donald Douglas, American Power [2]:

And left-wing author and activist Earl Ofari Hutchinson, back in 2009, hammered Sterling’s racism — and took the NAACP to task for giving the Clippers owner a pass on his disgusting racist bigotry. See, “Put Donald T. Sterling’s NAACP Award on Hold”:

Not to pick-on Glenn “Doc” Rivers in particular, but a person, even a black like Rivers, accept money, as in a paycheck from a known racist without becoming a racist himself? Can an organization such as the National Association for the Advancement of [Liberal] Colored People accept money from a racist without becoming racist itself?

Bonus, is it racist for the NAA[L]CP to honor the racist the Reverend Al Sharpton?
