In the United States, murder, both being a murder victim and a murder suspect, is a disproportionately black problem.   Blacks account for for thirteen percent of the population but for circa both fifty percent of murder victims and murder suspects.   The Lame Stream Media, and the New York Daily News,  seem to be of the belief that if you are not lily white your murder does not count. from Mike Lupica, New York Daily News:

But what does the President say now to the families of the victims of Sandy Hook, and Aurora, Colo., and all the other victims of mass murders and glory killers in this country? What does he say now that it becomes clear that a ban on assault weapons won’t even be legitimately included in the gun legislation being shaped this week in the U.S. Senate?

Any fool knows that Lanza couldn’t possibly have killed as many children as quickly as he did on the morning of Dec. 14 without an assault weapon in his hands. So how does the President and any other big politician who allows the gun nuts from the National Rifle Association to win again answer the larger question about weapons that make killings like the elementary-school massacre ridiculously easy:

David Kopel, via Reason:

The murderer at Sandy Hook fired 150 shots over a 20-minute period, before the police arrived. In other words, a rate of fewer than 8 shots per minute. This is a rate of fire far slower than the capabilities of a lever-action Henry Rifle from 1862, or a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle from 2010. Indeed, his rate of fire could have been far exceeded by a competent person using very old technology, such as a break-open double-barreled shotgun.

Given the fact that Lanza’s rate of fire was for less than extraordinary, what excuse to Lppica has for supporting DiFi inane ban?
