DREAM dies, New York Times slow on the uptake:
Most immediately, the measure would have helped grant legal status to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrant students and recent graduates whose lives are severely restricted though many have lived in the United States for nearly their entire lives.
Kudos to the Times for correctly calling illegals, just that illegal.
Janet Naplitano, a hod short of a brick. Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, will not secure our nation’s borders, or even try, but she will battle against imaginary enemies. I guess imaginary enemies won’t fight back:
(CNSNews.com) — At an all-day White House conference on “environmental justice,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that her department is creating a new task force to battle the effects of climate change on domestic security operations.
Speaking at the first White House Forum on Environmental Justice on Thursday, Napolitano discussed the initial findings of the department’s recently created “Climate Change and Adaptation Task Force.”
Anthropogenic global warming is fraud. Illegal immigration is a threat to our national security. Madam Secretary, pull your head out.

In the back room of a humble jewelry store and pawn shop in Houston’s East End Thursday afternoon, a gunman tied Eva Castillo’s wrists tightly — too tightly. She complained of the pain, so he loosened the bindings. Then Castillo’s husband was ordered at gunpoint to put his hands behind his back.
But Ramon Castillo had a surprise for the gunman and two cohorts, who had announced they were robbing the business.
Castillo pulled a pistol from his waistband and shot the gunman dead. Then he grabbed a shotgun from his office and engaged in a shootout with the other two armed robbers.
When it was over, all three robbers were dead
An armed citizenry is a free citizenry.
