The House passed one version of Obamacare, and the Senate seems intent on passing a totally different version. Will Mrs. Pelosi have the House roll over and endorse Dirty Harry Reid’s bill? Maybe not. The chair of the House Rules Committee, Louise Slaughter, D- Fairport, is signaling that she does not accept Dirty Harry’s version of Obamacare::
Washington (CNN [1]) — The Senate health care bill is not worthy of the historic vote that the House took a month ago.
Even though the House version is far from perfect, it at least represents a step toward our goal of giving 36 million Americans decent health coverage.
I venture to say, the Obama will not get any healthcare legislation passed unless he does more than merely voting present. I agree with Mrs. Slaughter that Dirty Harry’s bill is not worthy, but for altogether different reasons.
