Steve Gilbert, Sweetness & Light [3], was nice enough to remind the ‘sphere about the reason Mrs. Clinton coined the term:
For, lest we forget, the phrase “vast right wing conspiracy’ was originally coined by Mrs. Clinton to explain the pernicious lies about Mr. Clinton having had an affair with Miss Monica Lewinsky.
Which of course turned out to be all too true. So the “vast right wing conspiracy” has a pretty good track record.
