Congress which has demonstrated only an ability to destroy an economy, now wants to micromanage your paycheck, Bryon York, Washington Examiner:

It was nearly two weeks ago that the House of Representatives, acting in a near-frenzy after the disclosure of bonuses paid to executives of AIG, passed a bill that would impose a 90 percent retroactive tax on those bonuses. Despite the overwhelming 328-93 vote, support for the measure began to collapse almost immediately. Within days, the Obama White House backed away from it, as did the Senate Democratic leadership. The bill stalled, and the populist storm that spawned it seemed to pass.

But now, in a little-noticed move, the House Financial Services Committee, led by chairman Barney Frank, has approved a measure that would, in some key ways, go beyond the most draconian features of the original AIG bill. The new legislation, the “Pay for Performance Act of 2009,” would impose government controls on the pay of all employees — not just top executives — of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government

Rep. Alan Grayson, the Florida Democrat who wrote the bill, told me its basic message is “you should not get rich off public money, and you should not get rich off of abject failure.”

I agree with Representative Grayson, kind of, sort of.   I would redact to read:

“you should not get rich off public  service, and you should not get rich off of abject failure.”

The biggest recession since the Great Depression is the result of Grayson and inept fools like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.   Congressionmen should not be getting rich when they have been utter failures at their jobs, which includes protecting our wealth, not their’s.   Congressman Grayson, you are a failure.  Return the taxpayer’s money.   Do so now.

This bill is based on two simple concepts. One, no one has the right to get rich off taxpayer money. And two, no one should get rich off abject failure,” congress Grayson.. I agree…what are you going to do about the congress…. I say replace you and all the rest.. you are getting rich off taxpayer money and you are failures.. you guys are pushing the Bush spending and bigger government plan on steroids..  why should anyone work hard, pay their bills and save their money.. you will just take it anyway… I am going to shrink my business.. lay people off..  not work 80 hours a week… instead I am going to go home , have a beer, enjoy the day and forget it…  Govenment shoud not run business… example the post office and the washington dc school system….duh…wake up congressman the ussr failed so will you

  2. If there be anything of justice in the world, Grayson will at the next election, be looking for a job in the economy he and his helped create.
