Will he be president? He didn’t answer when I asked him.
Hmmm.
We can certainly do a lot worse.Wwe could, for example, nominate John McCain again. Or, one of his clones.
I am frankly a little annoyed over Newt’s comments about Sarah Palin, about Thanksgiving time last year. Still, his attitude on domestic drilling, and other energy concerns I find quite attractive.
Whether not I want him in the White House, depends on a great many factors. But at the very least, having him involved between now and midterms, and certainly between now and the next general, means that the party’s discussion about our own future will continue apace. I regard that as nothing but a good thing.
