Eric Holder has misplayed his hand and revealed BO’s inttentionns, all for naught, Mike Soraghan, Hill:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tossed cold water on the prospect of reinstating the assault weapons ban, highlighting Democrats’ reluctance to take on gun issues.
Attorney General Eric Holder raised the prospect Wednesday that the administration would push to bring back the ban. But Pelosi (D-Calif.) indicated on Thursday that he never talked to her. The Speaker gave a flat “no” when asked if she had talked to administration officials about the ban.
Moe Lane, Red State, takes good steady aim and levels Holder:
Eric Holder was on today announcing that the Obama administration was going to bring back the “assault weapons” ban. As Purple Avenger of Ace of Spades notes, this is the same guy who called for making armor piercing bullets (“cop-killers”) illegal…

Presumably they’ll revisit the issue after the midterms if they pick up a few more liberal seats in the House.
BO doesn’t like freedom. No populus can remain free while the state has guns but the citizens do not.

I am not convinced that Pelosi is being honest. Look at Hr 45. They are going to make a gun grab. I think it will come buried in a large bill like the stimulus. Omnibus spending bill or some other such cumbersome legislation. “I am not convinced that Pelosi is being honest”
I do believe that Mrs. Polosi doesn’t believe that she has the votes. Beyond that, I trust Mrs. Pelosi as far as I can spit her. I don’t put a lot faith in the blue dogs, but they likely don’t want commit political suicide on an undisguised gun grab.
