[Is Barack Obama’s] determination to push through Mr Daschle’s nomination, regardless of the developments of the last few days, was either politically tone-deaf, inept, naïve loyalty or straightforward “I won” arrogance. Or some combination of the above.
It certainly does not seem like that much-vaunted change from business as usual in Washington.
