[1]Has anybody ever accused Dirty Harry Reid of being smart? I have not. Apparently Roland Burris appointment by indited Illinois Governor Rod Blagoveich might not be so tainted after all. Dirty Harry is apparently considering letting Burris have his Senate seat for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do whether Burris’s appoint was as taint or not, Dana Bash:
WASHINGTON (CNN [2]) – CNN has learned that one possible compromise idea being considered by some in the Senate Democratic leadership is allowing Roland Burris to be seated in the Senate as long as he agrees not to run in 2010.
Roland Burris’ interest, or lack of same, in running for the seat in 2010 has absolutely nothing to with the question of his being tainted by Blago, or his constitutional fitness to serve. Dirty Harry is merely playing politics and his playing like an old punch drunk amatuer boxer.
