Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin has been compared to Ronald Reagan is a dress;:

Michael Reagan, 63, said watching the vice-presidential hopeful was like seeing “my dad reborn – only this time he’s a she”.

Palin’s stirring speech at the Republican convention on Wednesday night was watched by 40million people across the US.

Annie Oakley:

Palin’s big speech in St. Paul last week offered an electrifying blend of Annie Oakley with a spoonful of Roseanne’s blue-collar

Margaret Thatcher:

American conservatives have reacted with near ecstasy to the Republican convention speech by Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, comparing John McCain’s running mate with Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.

Hockey Mom:

Sarah Palin’s neighbors saluted their hometown girl with Alaskan Amber brew and testaments to her small-town integrity as she accepted the Republican nomination for vice president Wednesday

And now Muhammad Ali:

Palin floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee

The Democrats are in trouble. Sarah Palin has totally changed the dynamics of this campaign.

Period.

Like Tiger Woods is the first coming of himself, and not the second coming of anybody, Sarah a first and not a second.   And that’s good enough for me.

  1. Bit, I was ticked off all last week because the only show I regularly listen to (Hugh Hewitt) was only taking calls from women.  Never before had I wanted to call a national show, put up with the wait just to air a 20 second opinion.

You know.  The punditocracy is clueless on this, so consumed by whatever narrative they are hawking for their next book, next feature, next prime-time slot.  As obvious as the nose on their face, they refuse to look down, one-eyed, or screw-eyed to see what is plain as day to everyone else.

    Sarah Palin is our mother,
    She is our wife,
    She is our sister,
and she is what we hope for our daughters.

(Morosely reflective) That I saw this on the first anniversary of my favorite bitch’s death (breeding female Black Labrador) made it particularly poignant.  Smaller than all her mates, bowled over in physical tussles, Samantha could swim faster, run longer, and had the cunning to put her… adversaries on the defensive when it really mattered.

My pup would have loved to hunt with Sarah.

  2. wow, two cases of not paying attention in the same day.

    not Bit, DavidL

    Sorry…

  3. Oh, and David, I’d offer this as further evidence of the disconnect between what our media betters think we should think, and what we actually think.
