Chicago Tribune Shoots Proverbial Toe

Bit Rambled [1] this earlier. Freeping illiterate fools,  Can anybody, at all, on the Chicago Tribune know how to read?   Apparently not,  From the Chicago Tribune [2]:

No, we don’t suppose that’s going to happen any time soon. But it should.

The 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is evidence that, while the founding fathers were brilliant men, they could have used an editor.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Evidently the ChiTrib is incapable of understanding the concept of the phrase “shall not be infringed.”  The Second Amendment does not establish the People’s right to keep and bear arms.   The right of free men to keep and bear arms is God given   The Second only acknowledges that the state will not infringe upon the right of the People.  Minus the Second, the right to keep and bear arms is still God given and the state still lacks any legitimate power to infringe upon it.  May the Lord have mercy for those who try.
